A digital database that centralizes fisheries-related documentation in Myanmar

Fisheries Information Center

What?

The FIC is a  digital database of research papers, project reports, informative posters and training books relating to Myanmar fisheries. Resources have been sourced from Government, Universities, the private sector and NGOs. As well as cataloguing historical information, the database is continuously updated with new and exciting research. The FIC provides an online community where everyone in the sector can share resources and knowledge. The FIC can be used by anyone and it is free.

Why?

The FIC is the first database of its kind in Myanmar. It has been created to benefit people who work in the fisheries sector by creating a way to share knowledge and make information on fisheries easily accessible  to everyone.

Where & When?

The FIC server is physically located in the Department of Fisheries. The whole database is available online for anyone who wants to browse and access the resources. Please visit:  www.dof-myanmar-fic.org

We are continuously looking at improving our service but because of current technical constraint, our database is only available during working hours (Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm  - Myanmar).

How can you support us?

Our team is actively looking for fisheries-documents in Myanmar and we would be very grateful if you could share any relevant resources as well as any feedback or comment you may have to the following email adress: dof.myanmar.fic@gmail.com

We would like to also encourage you to share this initiative with friends and colleagues. The more people who are involved, the more it will benefit everyone.
